In Argentina, the Ministry of Modernization, through the Secretariat of Information and Communication Technologies (SecTIC), has published the draft regulation on the quality of ICT services.
The quality indicators are classified into 2 main categories: 9 indicators of quality of customer care and 10 indicators related to the operationality of the network.
For the mobile broadband, the average effective data download speed would be 8 Mbps for 4G networks.
For fixed access networks, the download speed must be higher than 60% of the nominal speed.
The operators should implement a system to measure quality indicators.
In turn, the regulator should implement applications for mobile networks and fixed users, only for statistical and indicative purposes, and it will not be a precedent for any type of sanction to the operator.
The operators should keep the collected data for the elaboration of the indicators, in electronic files and for a minimum period of 3 years.
