IFT, the Mexican telecom regulator, has proposed upload and download minimum speeds for mobile broadband (5 Mbps upload and 10 Mbps download) and fixed broadband (5 Mbps upload and 25 Mbps download) in Mexico, which must be met in more than 95% of the total measurements of quality-of-service indices.
IFT will update them, at the latest, 3 years after their entry into force.
This proposal was included in the 2017 IFT Work Plan, in its way to achieve the goals of IFT strategy and its vision for 2021.
